"So far it has traveled to sentimental places in Brooklyn, its original home, to the shores of 2 oceans and many places in between."
This sentence was in my very first blogpost in January of 2010. I feel the need to include a very short report that since then it has been on a world tour and it is currently safely waiting to reveal itself from it's top secret location.
To update, for those who may not know, the plaid apron has been in the following locations and photographic proof exists for each destination: Louisville,Kentucky -- Brooklyn,Chichester, New City, New York -- Philidelphia,State College, Collegeville,Pennsylvania -- Honolulu, Hawaii -- Denver, Colorado -- Provincetown,Wellfleet, Massachusetts -- Mechanicsville, Virginia -- AND the following countries: Ireland -- Italy -- France -- Czech Republic -- Hungary -- Amsterdam. The international travels are thanks to my niece Alyssa who was enterprising enough to pose beside landmarks of the world.
I have (as usual) no idea what-so-ever as to its current whereabouts but have some suggestions as to where it should head to next. If the apron-holder is in need of ideas he or she should comment below. Lois can not suggest anything because no one will heed her call. With spring and summer rapidly approaching and travel plans being made it seemed like a good time to think about the continuing adventures of the Great Apron Caper.
This is still fun, don't you think??
Oh no!! I forgot Washington DC!!
ReplyDeleteIt has also made a trip all over Canada with the Band.
ReplyDeleteI must say, I don't really think it is very fair or very nice of my family to exclude me from making suggestions or requesting to know its where or wear abouts! Even though I am fairly sure that the next time I will be in possession of my apron will be when I am lying in a box. I think then my loving family will put it on my dead body, take a picture of me in it and then take it away from me again. I will however warn all that will be in LBI that I may have to rifle through your luggage when you are not looking in hopes of seeing my precious apron! I am not suggesting it go to LBI but knowing you all. It will and I will somehow be the transporter one direction or the other. Yes, its still fun(sort of)!
